Brugo Mug Review and Giveaway

Okay, well I have to say that this is truly the coolest mug that I have owned and loved everything about it!! Anyone that knows me well knows I love colours. This was first thing that caught my attention with the Brugo Mugs. They aren't just basic and plain the colours are unique and vibrant! They definitely have something for everyone with a selection of 13 different colours!

Any mugs I used before were tired and worn looking from the start. Brugo Mugs and their innovative colours allow you to have multiple ones you can mix and match as an accessory or just buy the ones that help cheer up your day. No one can deny how special you feel drinking out of these beautiful mugs as these are definitely not boring!

Being a mommy for me there is nothing more important then having a mug that I can travel with and it is spill proof. I spend enough time in the day cleaning up after my children, the last thing I like to do is clean up after myself, especially in my car. However, this was not at all the case with my Brugo Mug. This mug comes with a spill proof lock position and no mater what happened. My drink remained in my mug not on me or anything else.

If the above features were not enough for you, the most impressive feature of the Brugo is its patented Perfect Temperature Zone Technology. This technology allows you to drink whatever HOT beverage immediately after you pour it. You no longer have to wait until it cools down or worry about it getting cold. Not only is it perfect for adults, but also children can benefit from this mug. I have had too many conversations with my 3 year old trying to explain why she would have to wait until her hot chocolate cooled down. This saves me any added stress from my children as they can as well enjoy their drink right away. This is a HUGE win for mommy.

Changing the settings on the lid of the mug were easy to do. One of the motto's is "Control. That's what the BRUGO travel mug is all about." You do not have to worry about burning your hands when holding the mug as the Double wall insulation will protect you from that. Plus for those mornings when you need a little extra pick me up, no need to worry. The Brugo mug is comparable to a large size cup, but unlike those cups it has a Non-slip bottoms and Ergonomic grip making it fabulous to hold and set down!

The Brugo Mugs retail for $19.95 but they are having an awesome summer sale where you can get them for only $14.95 if you buy two or more! They also sell a sports collection that doesn’t have the stainless steel accents for $14.95 regularly, but as part of their sale these mugs are 25% off!

BUY IT: Check out Brugo Mug stock up for yourself and as gifts while the sale is on! I guarantee you will not regret it!

WIN IT: One VERY lucky reader of mine will win a 16 oz Brugo Mug of  their own. (Colour choice subject to availability)

New Blog Design!!!

Well one thing I think we can all agree on is how FABULOUS my blog is looking now that I have just had a blog makeover!  I have to say having a blogger blog has just became a whole lot better now that Wacky Jacqui's Designs is designing.

I could not have been more pleased with the service I received or the promptness of the work that she did.  Having two girls I had wanted my blog to be feminine and fun, I think she created that perfectly.  She also through in a little surprise for me.  Anyone that reads my blog knows I have a soft spot for The Twilight Saga and I am a Edward fan.  Without me even asking she created an Edward button me. I love the fact that she payed attention so well to me that she knew this would be something I`d adore.

In my situation I needed a complete overhaul of my blog and her prices are great.  No matter if your needing a overhaul like me or need a little work, she can do it all for you without breaking your budget!  Be sure to check out her page and she is now accepting orders.

While your looking around her website check out the other blogs she`s designed I guarantee you will not be disappointed.  As well one of them is currently holding a blog makeover giveaway from Wacky Jacqui`s Designs along with their review!

Music and Children

I love music although I have never been that talented when its comes to playing it, I totally appreciate every single artist out there that can.  Let me say that again it is just those that CAN, that I appreciate. Unfortunately, through the years there will always be those who have no true skills and make a quick dollar from it.  Though I think true artists will have staying power through the years.

That is my opinion although the true experts in my household are my 3.5 and 1.5 year old children.  For the longest time I was only "permitted" by them to listen to nursery rhymes.  Honestly, we were not allowed to listen to anything else, if we put anything on but their music my eldest would have a fit.  I never let them have their way like this anywhere else it seemed as an easy compromise as driving with crying and screaming children, no matter how far you are going, is not much fun.

I try to influence their taste as much as possible my music in my car right now goes from Rap to Debussy and thankfully they like it all.  It throws me off though when they start singing a song that I do not have and then I realize how powerful other influences are over them and I just hope my husband and I will have more.  My youngest is at the point where she likes anything that has a good beat and she can dance to it.  My eldest though can appreciate all types and I have spent many car rides answering the question "Mommy, why is no one singing on this song"  Thankfully after me repeating the same thing over and over when the piano starts to play she says "Mommy, this song does not need people singing because it sounds pretty on its own"  I only hope years from now she will feel the same way.

In honor of music and the many different types of it out there one lucky reader is going to win 4 Cd's.  Although I may not be familiar will all of the artists someone out there loves them and I am happy to share their love with you.

What you will win:

Pussy Cat Dolls- Doll Domination:  Anyone who catches a glimpse of this group can clearly see that their sexy image helps sell their whole package.  They have received a lot of controversy for their appearance and dance moves.  However, whether I like them or not anyone that can perform in shoes like they wear earns respect from me ;-)

Marilyn Manson- Eat Me Drink Me:
Also another controversial artist out there.   I remember him when he first came out and like I read by another star; no matter if its bad or good if your trying to get noticed you'll take what you get.  Personally I know nothing about his career since his "Beautiful People" song back in 1996.  Long before I had grey hair or children.  Could it be possible that he made me feel really old ..LOL

Kate Nash- Made of Bricks:  She has been called "Little Miss sunshine that's brightened up the chart" by The Guardian.  She is an English singer that may not be as well know in North America but had won in 2008 won Best Female Artist from the BRIT Awards.

Soulja Boy-Tellem.com:  Okay this artist I do know...mostly thanks to his Crank That (Soulja Boy) dance, not the music.  I remember seeing this everywhere and like the Macerena back in the day (yes I'm aging myself again), this dance was pretty popular.  NO I don't have enough rhythm to be able to do it. :-)

Win it:   Mandatory Entry: The mandatory entry must be completed before all other entries will be counted. For each entry be sure to leave a separate comment.

We all have a song that is a guilty pleasure, it may be one from back in the day or a new hit that your too embarrassed to let anyone know you love. Tell me what you guilty pleasure song is and comment below!

Bonus Entries:
1 Entry:  Like Two Children and a Migraine on Facebook (leave your FB name)
1 Entry: Follow Two Children and a Migraine on GFC
1 Entry: Follow @momwithmigraine on Twitter (leave your name)
1 Entry: Follow Two Children and a Migraine on Networked Blogs
1 Entry: Tweet about this giveaway (you can do this 2 times a day, 1 entry each time -at least 3 hours apart)
3 Entries: Update your Facebook status notifying people of this giveaway (link @Two children and a Migraine or share the link in your comment)
5 Entries:Vote for me on Keystone Lights Unsmooth Moment: Search Jayda Turner then click "Yep, that's Unsmooth".  Be sure to leave what number you were

Good luck everyone!  This giveaway is open to Canada/US. Giveaway ends on August 6th, 2010 at Midnight Eastern time!
Winner will be chosen via Random.org and contacted via e-mail and announced on this site. Winner will have 72 hours to claim their prize before a new winner is chosen.

Oh how I love Cheese!!!

I love trying new foods and love to experiment with baking and cooking.  I am the first to admit that a lot of the times it does not turn out the way that it should, but as long as its still edible that's all I care about.  The worst thing is to have a hungry husband and kids and nothing to feed them.  No matter if its for a main meal or it was just a snack.

Kraft Dinner (Mac and Cheese) seems  to be a big hit for a lot of children. I hesitate to say all as I know first hand how picky kids can be and there have to be some out there that do not like it.  In my household though my children love it and all the variations I add to it.  By variations I mean Ive added tuna, salmon, frozen vegetables, eggs, spinach.  You name it I have tried to add it in for the kids.  I figure the more I expose them to the better off they will be with different foods, but it also helps to make the packaged Kraft Dinner a little bit healthier.

About a year ago I was searching around for a Mac and Cheese recipe I could make for a get together  I was having. I began searching online and found one on YouTube of all places.  I loved that I was able to watch them make it and it had a lot of reviews from regular people that tried it out!  I have to say not all the reviews were good, but that's what I loved.  I start to wonder when I see all positive reviews as I know I've flopped my share of recipe's and think there always has to be others like me out there :-) (of course at that time I would not have admitted it was me that made the mistake, but the recipe itself was at fault )

I have since made this recipe for my eldest daughters birthday party, pot lucks and many many times at home with fabulous reviews all the time.  I prefer it when it comes right of the oven, rather then as left overs.  I find the cheese consistency does change after its been refrigerated.  However, the kids do not seem to agree so the left overs come in handy!!

I give it two thumbs up and  its a definite favorite of mine to make.  Try it out and let me know what you think!!

My Favourite Mac and Cheese!

Movies and Me Time!

Since having children I have not had the chance or the time to watch a lot of movies, let alone go and watch them in a theater.  As my girls are going to be turning 2 and 4 this year they are becoming more independent which enables me to have some more time for myself.  Having time for myself and making time for myself are two different things.  Though I have decided to be the best mom and wife for my family I have to make sure I do not forget who I am a woman and have to make sure to take this time for myself.  (Yes, I know this is easier said then done!!)

This week I took some me time and went to see two movies with two different friends.  I won some tickets to see the advance screening of The Sorcerer`s Apprentice.  I had seen some brief advertisements for this movie, but never really payed attention to them.  I knew the movie was by Disney and assumed by that it was a movie  for children and was hoping that it would be decent.  This movie though more then met my expectations; it had decent special effects, decent humor and overall was a great movie!  It is a bit too old for my children, but would be suitable if you have older children.  It comes out in theaters this week so I recommend everyone to go and see it!

Last night I went to see Eclipse.  This was my second time seeing it and thought it was the best of the series to date.  Majority of the reviews I have read have agreed with me no matter if the were a Twilight fans or not.  Last night though I went to experience Eclipse in a new theater concept for Canada.  Cineplex Entertainment has two theaters in Canada that are UltraAVX and they will be developing more across Canada by the end of the year.  I have to say this theater experience made the movie soooo much better.  The seats were very comfortable and spacious and the isles had room, so that when you were walking you did not have to worry about stepping on anyone's feet.

I bought our tickets in advance and got to pick our seats at that moment which is perfect for anyone, especially if your running late due to your children you don`t have to stress to be there early for seats as you know in advance where you will be sitting!  This was great as we got there in enough time to buy our snacks, walk in and sit down and know you have the best seats possible! The screen was huge and my friend and I even commented that it seemed more graphic then at the regular theater.  Truly for only a few dollars more you get the ultimate movie experience.  If you like in Calgary area or Etobicoke area I would definitely recommend checking out your next movie in UltraAVX!  You WILL NOT be let down!

Both my friend and I both said this will be our new theater to go to until we get one closer to home!  It is worth the drive to see it in UltraAVX!

If you haven't had a chance yet be sure to check out my Mabel's Labels giveaway going on right now!

Mabel's Labels Giveaway and Review

No one told me that having children meant that sooner or later something of theirs was going to go missing.  When I was younger, my mom would ink everything with my name to make sure that 1) I knew it was mine and 2) that everyone else knew it wasn't theirs. This is fine when you only have one child, but once you have multiples of the same sex, hand me downs become a necessity!  Using ink would ruin the item and not to mention makes the saying`` reduce and reuse`` almost impossible. Also, I don't know any child that wants to have items with their siblings names crossed out on them!!

This is why I was very excited to do a review for Mabel's Labels.  I have to admit, I was a little worried before ordering as I wondered how my customized product would turn out.  Seeing a sample online is one thing, but when you see it with the name you are adding, this can possibly change the appearance completely.  I was so happy to see that as soon as I went onto their website I was able to view what my custom designed labels would look like before placing my order. Their website is very user friendly and made designing my Labels a positive experience.

I was able to review the Classic Camp/School Pack which includes:
15 Sticky Labels
8 Shoe Labels
2 Bag Tags
40 Iron-Ons or 50 Tag Mates™

Like most mothers I love deals and you cannot beat the price of $34.00 for everything!  My daughter and I chose the labels together online. You have a choice of over 40 icons as well as several colour options. All of which are microwave, laundry and dishwasher safe

Our items were mailed to us in a timely manner and they were so easy to apply that my three year old daughter was able to do it with me. She has since worn her labeled items many times and I have washed them but, they still look as good as new with no signs of being worn.

Mabel's Labels also carry products that can help organize and simplify your life. Some examples are Household Labels, Kid Safety Products as well as some fun Stationary Products!! In addition, there is an option for you to use their superior products for fundraisers.

Mabel's Labels has been generous enough to offer a Camp/School Pack to one of my lucky readers!!

For your mandatory entry just head on over to their site and tell me what colour set and icon you would choose for your labels using their Camp/School Pack builder.
