The Magic of Mothers & Daughters Book Review

I recently had the pleasure to read and review Chicken Soup for the Soul The Magic of Mothers & Daughters.

101 Inspirational and Entertaining Stories about That Special Bond

"Mothers and daughters. They are, at the same time, very similar and completely unique. This relationship — through birth, childhood, teen years, adulthood, grandchildren, aging, and every step in between — can be the best, the hardest, and the sweetest. Moms and daughters will laugh, cry, and find inspiration in this collection of entertaining, poignant, and heartwarming stories that remind them of their shared love, appreciation and special bond."

Like many of the other Chicken Soup books that I have read I really did enjoy reading this story.  I found this story to be different in many ways for me, from some of the other books that I have read.  We all have our own unique relationships with our mothers and no two relationships are a like.  Being a mother now I can see this so clearly with my own children.  No matter how I try my relationship with both girls will never be the same as they are both separate individuals and through life will have different wants and needs from me.

This can be shown as true through this book as well.  It allows us a peak into the lives of other mothers and daughters.  I have to say some of the stories are not something that I would consider memorable if it happened in my own relationships, but the thing is it did not happen in my relationship.  Just as each of my girls will have a unique relationship with me, these stories show how truly different we all are in what we need from our mothers/children and this is constantly changing through our life phases.

If your shopping for a gift for your daughter or mother be sure to check out this book.  Now that spring is upon us it is the perfect gift to sit back on a warm day and read this book.  It will truly show you that special Magic between Mothers and Daughters.  You will be able to find this book and many more on http://www.chickensoup.com/

Happy Reading
