About the Author:
A.L. Waddington completed her undergraduate studies at University of Texas Dallas and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She graduated from IUPUI with a BS in Psychology. A.L. and her husband, Ty have a son, two daughters, three puppies, and an oversized cat. They reside in Indiana.
My Review:
Essence rocked! I am usually quite reserved when referring my friends to read a book, but this one easily crossed that line of reservation. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it and am hoping to get to review the next in this series! I loved the dynamics between Jocelyn and Jackson in both time periods and how things truly were so different. Things I would take as common (yoga pants, cell phones, tv, radio, lightbulbs) were not around in the 1800's so for someone to catch a glimpse of our time would have been weird. It was interesting to hear the mind dialogues then. I also enjoyed the differences in the activities and mindsets of people between 1800 and 2000....how much we have changed is quite mind boggling when you think about it. I kept reading this book and would continually come up with how the book would take a twist....and then in the end.....NONE of my theories were even close! I loved that!
I would easily recommend this book to anyone looking for a love story that transcends time. I give it a 5 out of 5.
